It's almost as if Mozilla had a point with their "codecs should really be written in a memory-safe language", and Google's claim that "you should just write your C++ more carefully" was always some hot garbage that people only accepted because they were blinded by Google's carefully cultivated propaganda about how all their developers are unmitigated geniuses
