Today's project: defusing the neighbours' fire alarm, which was apparently going off erroneously all night, and is one of those "battery soldered to the board" units
In fairness this one isn't really the landlord's *fault* either, it's actually a decent fire alarm from a reputable brand, probably just got unlucky - but why the hell doesn't it have a "shut up, you're broken" button?
Guess the landlord (whose fire alarm it is) gets to keep both pieces
