Like, to be clear, I could probably believe that that "no fundraising" policy was genuinely out of ignorance rather than malice...
... but immediately drawing attention to how much people should pity you for getting backlash, rather than acknowledging the harm you've done and taking responsibility for it, that's where my assumption of good faith disappears

@joepie91 kinda incredible to me that the fundraising thing was what did it, rather than the weird rant using slavery as a prop to talk about how great capitalism is

@joepie91 yeah, they walked it back to make allowances for begposts pretty quickly, but it still came after a preceding bunch of similarly bad takes and, as the saying goes, when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time
