@alive I’m gonna be honest, this is just taking out your hatred of a corporation on users of said corporation’s thingymajig. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending Cloudflare, they do kinda suck. But there are going to be plenty of actual, decent people who try to use Wildebeest to host, as it happens to solve their infrastructure issues, and you’re just gonna block all of them because you want to pull out your hair and panic about “OH NO, EVIL CORPORATION IS GONNA TAKE OVER THE FEDIVERSE!!!”, even though that’s likely not the case.
What’s next, blocking any instance that just uses Cloudflare as a CDN?
@absolucy @alive "Taking over existing networks" is literally what Cloudflare does. The people buying into Wildebeest are just the 'meat shields'.
The collateral damage here is to blame on Cloudflare, not on those trying to protect their communities from a parasitic corporation with a long long *long* track record of malicious behaviour.
