one peculiar thing about fedi (or maybe just masto?) I keep experiencing is that everyone starts talking about a thing without saying what the thing actually is. I'm not sure if I *want* to know what the thing is, but it's still kinda weird seeing my feed full of dunks on some unknown jerk. Maybe this is what happens when you don't have QTs and/or lack a culture of even linking back to the thing in question...
this is my way of asking what the fuck y'all are talking about. There seems to be something about a new instance for "professionals" and a "real name policy" and getting defederated hard right out the gate but that's all I've gathered.
