I have been followed by and followed more Black and Brown people on the fedi in the last 24 hours than I have since I first joined over five years ago.
Processing a lot of feelings right now.
@Are0h it's feeling like a much bigger change than we've seen here in the past (even though numbers wise we've been through comparable. It's something qualitatively different)
@darius@friend.camp It feels like a culture shift, man. I've never seen this on the fedi.

A lot of people won't talk about it but it seems like there's some shame around what has been happening, so folks are on their best behavior.
We'll see how long it lasts.
