still baffled by llm hype. opened up ollama because it comes bundled with my operating system for some reason and clicked on the recommended prompt, "tell me a fun fact about the roman empire."
it immediately invented some BS about augustus having a pet monkey named aesopus who had a statue in the roman forum, and as far as I can tell, not a single part of that sentence is true
at least this theoretically confirms ROCm is working on my machine so I guess those horrible HIP errors earlier were a red herring and maybe I can actually accelerate some $DAYJOB stuff w my GPU
