What's the current best pirate site for academic papers? 🤔

gotta prepare for... work. :P

@maloki I've used libgen.is for a bunch, but I could also look around using my uni access if you can't find it there.

@pettter What we need is a friends of friends uni access website :P

Follow

@maloki @pettter that's pretty much how sci-hub works hah, but you need to be quite careful to not have pdf's traced back to the person who shared them...

@f0x @pettter I am so out of date on all the torrenting and other peer to peer stuff.

@f0x @pettter speaking of something else, semi-realted.

I think f0x saw this, but pettter look at this cutie I'm getting:
shop.boox.com/products/tab

@pettter @f0x I'm SO EXCITED.

It should maybe arrive this week?!

it has a tracking number, but no tracking on it yet

@maloki @f0x I'm assuming you'll toot some reviewy stuff once it arrives? I've already got a Kobo e-reader but in case that ever breaks it'd be great to know what alternatives are out there :)

@pettter @f0x I actually found this while looking at the new Kobo Elipsa and looking for reviews and comparissons for other current things.

But yeh, we'll find out how much it increses my productivity : P

nerding out about Boox Tab Ultra

@pettter oh and I had been eyeing the remarkable for a very long time, so this came to around the same price, and the specific model felt like decent future proofing.

and i like the ability to be able to also scan document as needed with the built in camera on this specific one. As well as extra battery time and storage.

The fact that it's Android means that I can use other apps for it, and get more versatile use too.
