Does anyone know, if you set an instance to silenced, does that prevent hashtags from that instance from contributing towards trending tags?

@welshpixie I'm not sure if limited federation is communicated to other instances at all, so my guess would be that it counts towards them on the instances it does federate with?
@f0x There's an instance that's appeared that's full of bot art accounts, and the hashtags have suddenly started reaching trending proportions that outweigh the non-bot trending hashtags on .art; I don't want .art's top trending hashtags to be all bot content, and while I could just stop the tags from trending, they are legit art tags like the names of art movements and stuff
@welshpixie from a quick test it doesn't seem to retroactively remove their contribution to a hashtag, at least not how it's displayed in the admin interface.
I think it might hide their instance's content from anyone looking at the hashtag though, given all toots are hidden unless the user is explicitly followed?
