i got a bit happy because someone dm'ed me out of the blue (on Matrix) about my project, but then of course after I did the tiniest bit of background research (found their mastodon) they post/interact with yikesy shit, so now I don't want them anywhere near the project

fuck now i have to deal with banning them etc
