I've had glasses with a taped broken hinge for more than a year now, because i want a new pair but also can't bring myself to go there

@f0x i have had the same glasses for god nows how many years, probably +10y, I should have bought new glasses 5 years ago or so. They are being held together with a paperclip and safetypin. That's how much I hate going to the optician. So no you're not alone.

@f0x It's a faff, but I wouldn't say I _hated_ it.

I just dislike the illusion and lack of choice.
