@morgan @f0x teensy 4.0s are absurdly fast and iirc same price as 3.2 — might as well go for them. I’ve got a few in a drawer waiting for projects — currently considering an 8-in-8-out matrix DSP for my home hifi (I want to be able to modify the surround to stereo downmix, damnit! I can never hear the words!) I also kinda want a hardware true CSRNG device just for fun, maybe use one of them with some source of true noise like a spark gap transmitter? How evil-genius cool would that be.

@morgan @f0x actually now this is making me think about designing an open source dead cheap USB balanced audio interface board. I’m sure there are decent analogue front end designs out there right? otherwise I have plenty of old schematics from pro audio gear I can crib off.

@s0 @morgan@cathode.church a while ago i looked at the tympan.org hearing aid that's based on a teensy + audio chip as well, never got around to doing anything with my 'improved' pcb design
