Alright Fediverse, I have a #question: I'm looking for a replacement for M$'s VS Code, to be used on Linux.

I tried using Vim and, while interesting, it's still somewhat too esoteric for a layman like myself. I used VS Codium before, but I'd rather switch away from the whole project.

I'll mainly use it to write blogposts in markdown, write some html and css and maybe code a bit in python. Git integration would be nice too.

Kate seemed like a great option, but I can't seem to find decent plugins to use and have a usable workflow. Or anything resembling some sort of decent guide to the program.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Alternatives?

:boost_ok: Boosts very welcome :boost_ok:

@f0x New pc, clean install, good a reason as any to switch away from Microsoft. It's also good to explore other options

@mysteriarch well, having tried out a lot of (foss) editors I can only say 'code' has by far been the best experience, and not much of a microsoft issue running any of the re-packaging forks like vscodium etc
