Smol Kid:
"What does the royal family in Germany eat for Christmas?"

me:
"There hasn't been a royal family in Germany in a long time."

Big Kid:
"But isn't there like, a president? Isn't that pretty much the same thing as the king here?"

me:
"Yeah, in a way I guess... as in, he doesn't really do anything but delivers a speech on New Year's about how it's been a difficult year for all of us and we must stand together for democracy and so on."

I think the biggest latent conflict between me and Tale is their dismissive attitude towards Stollen which I cannot tolerate

@anarchiv @f0x Stollen is amazing, why would you not have it given the opportunity?!

@RedFuture @f0x
Also Lebkuchen

or... any kind of baked goods that taste like more than just cardamom *stares angrily at Scandinavian cuisines*

@anthra @RedFuture @f0x
Both fine tbh. imo Marzipanstollen is a bit much, but then I treat Stollen as bread and not cake, meaning that I butter it and eat it for breakfast

@anarchiv @RedFuture @f0x these are two completely different but very tasty things that have hardly anything to do with each other imho.
