now that JLC provides SMT on black soldermask as well, i should really pivot all my designing to that.
designing pcbs is easy, soldering them together sucks
only downside is no 4 layers on black soldermask :(

@adb yeah there's a bit of a complex table which combination of specs they support for SMT
@f0x oh I see, you would have to choose HASL(lead), if u want 4 layers in black and no extra costs. but no, HASL sucks xD
@adb ah no that is separate, that's just for the PCBs themselves. For assembly/SMT there's extra requirements
@f0x so they only do SMT assembly on green pcbs? maybe their pick n place machines only calibrate green pcbs correctly or smth?
@f0x weird, I don't see the extra afford that it would take to also assemble them too
