I got to use a good Hakko soldering iron today and it was a bit life-changing. Now I’m sorely tempted to buy myself a new one for Christmas...

Actually hang on nix that what I need is some really nice quality solder and to crank the temperature a bit tbh

I’ve espoused the belief that lower temp is better for a while but I’m thinking perhaps 285°C for lead solder is a little too conservative

@s0 I really really like the HS10-FAIR stuff from Stannol/Fairlötet
It's all recycled too, no new mining. Some extra flux like my Chipquik SMD291NL helps too :)
