I've been trying some simple baking recently and since I live alone I take the results of my experiments to my friends and share them.
The result of this is that I now got a text from a friend who said "I've heard you've been baking recently, could I interest you in a whole lot of plums from my parents garden in exchange for some plum cake?"
I don't know what my life is turning into right now but I think I'm digging it
The cool thing about this is that I found a promising recipe that looks super easy and tasty, and I get to bake some more which I've been really enjoying lately.
The less cool thing is that this plum cake is going to be served to a bunch of people helping my friends move so I can't really afford to fuck it up.
The cool thing again is that if I get this cake right, I'm gonna be that cool person who brought tasty cake to the move for everyone to enjoy!

@f0x To be fair, all of my baking has been for others so far because I can't just eat an entire thing alone (I mean, I could, but I shouldn't) but this raises the stakes quite considerably, it's a new thing AND it's for a bunch of people, let's hope this works
