@elfi It caused some backlash as I understand! One of the few cards sunset from legal rotation early for non-mechanical reasons.

The MtG scene in the late 90s and early 00s was kind of wild in a bunch of ways. I remember baby vee reading a TCG fan magazine around that time that ran a contest to give a winner a free ticket to Dragoncon but the rider was like "You have to be our bitch if you win"

and it had this very extreme D/s bent to it. And that was apparently just normal for that scene?

But yeah it's all very confusing to look back on!
