the BIOS is certainly still sega's code, and they're almost certainly just lifting work from oliveira or some other community member who knows the value of sharing better than they do. And they didn't even credit anyone.

@wyatt they left the EPROM uncovered?? 
@elfi that or there's transparent tape over it. Which can in some situations be enough to block most UV light (i've had visually transparent residue from stickers be enough to prevent chips from erasing in my UV EPROM eraser before).
