I've been pondering my streaming rut and I think what I want is novelty and to stretch into different concepts and genres and such.
I'd love to do a console challenge but I know myself. I'd burn out by game 30. Doing a console with a tiny library like Virtual Boy is both kind of a punt and means playing a console that means nothing to vee so meh.
I could do "I just draw and beat random games in a console until I get one that makes vee give up" I suppose; no one says I have to start such a thing expecting to finish.
I pondered doing a Retro Game Gauntlet but I don't like where that concept comes from, nor its brass tacks rules. It'd be more "I draw a random game from each console I have access to" than anything with "rules"
But most importantly starting a massive project to "Get out of a rut" is not a good play for my brain. :P
Ultimately what I want is surprise and variety. I'd come to believe I love the idea of console challenges because you watch a streamer spin a wheel and then they have to play this game they may not have ever even heard of until five minutes ago, and beat it. And that's cool to vee: that process.
and yeah I can just do that without the "Game 1 of 714" on the title and overlay and without the expectation I actually do them all. Maybe I will.
@trysdyn If you're taking suggestions, and have DS stuff set up, absolutely play Tail Concerto and Solatorobo for some cute furry fun :3
