Okay. Thinking about something more pleasant for a while.

What's a good way to lay my hands on a pile of spinning rust hard drives suitable for a low-intensity home server type setup? Say I wanted to make a big RAID array with plenty of redundancy, and redundancy was more important than capacity?

@mos_8502 I've heard about gently used hard drives being pulled from surveillance equipment to be sold on Aliexpress and the like. Not terribly quiet but designed for extended operation
