i wish mastodon werent the lowest common denominator that all AP software has to talk to
im not saying mastodon should be different (at least not in this point i'm trying to make) im saying that
1) there should be more weird and different AP things. i dont mean misskeys and other pleromas i mean something other than Twitter 2
2) they should not care if it shows up on the mastodon feed
i dont think anyone has made some AP server that will accept and attempt to display all kinds of activities? i understand that it's hard to make it good but don't make it good then, just make it
@codl my brain crossed some wires and started thinking about Archipelago first, so now I'm imagining an Archipelago server with an ActivityPub frontend and posts every time someone gets a check, dies, or beats/forfeits the game
...I do agree that activitypub has moved past the need for Mastodon though fwiw.
