It's half-past 3 in the morning and I'm staring at a live distro CLI... on my laptop. Things have not gone terribly well for me on the computing front lately

Huzzah, it's fixed! I managed to restore Windows' file system on the laptop's new SSD and take full advantage of the new storage space!
I still honestly have no idea how things got corrupted the way they did, but it's a good thing I had plenty of backups to work from.
