Coordinating people across 3-4 different homebrew servers started to get frustrating. For preserving useful advice and documentation in a long-term manner, I'm considering setting up a DokuWiki instance - an unpopular solution, but one I run two instances of already...

@asie Never been fond of discords for documentation purposes, so I hope you do end up making a wiki o:

@elfi@social.pixie.town I already mirror installation and library documentation on the website: https://wonderful.asie.pl/

It is not my intent to gatekeep stuff actually necessary to use the toolchain on the Discord. There's a few reasons for that:

1. The obvious - vendor-locking people who just want to install a program onto a proprietary chat platform, etc.
2. Discord just isn't great for indexing and cataloguing information. Threads feel like a band-aid more than anything else.
3. If the Discord is not necessary to use the toolchain, but serves solely as a community, this gives me more freedom to moderate it in that direction - as a non-essential part of participating in the project.
