@elfi just to clarify, the fairy portal thing is like, one of the regular events in game. The last two days of every second and fourth week in each month, a set of four portals appear to various resource islands. They're the same layout each time, but you can gather ANYTHING you like from them, including the ground blocks, or insects or fish etc, and I think every month they respawn fully so you can get more
@elfi that said, there's ANOTHER regular event in spring I think where a fairy manor spawns for a week in the same area in the village, and you can help a fairy queen rebuild the manor and catch mischievous fairies who have wrecked it for items and funds :3
@elfi so basically the upshot of this is while the fairy portal is purely to get fairy themed blocks and resources, you can use those to make your own, PERMANENT fairy world area anywhere in the island you start on. Anywhere :3

...actually don't know.
I know you can be human, elf or catperson without mods, nobody seems to have made a fairy race mod... but I SUSPECT the fairy queen's wings might be available as a reward after completing a bunch of quests for her during the event where she shows up... unfortunately the staxel fan wiki is on fandom and their site is not only garbage but the wiki has ...clearly not been upkept properly. lotta missing info that nobody has filled in yet, in years.
