der Schirm: umbrella, visor (of a baseball cap or similar)

der Regenschirm: umbrella (against rain)
der Sonnenschirm: sunshade, parasol (more commonly referring to the big kind standing somewhere permanently, because that's just more common that the one-person handheld kind)
