Listening to a podcast, the hosts talking about some romance routes in games and how some of them punish you for trying to go for multiple romance options, and I think "Well, clearly the best option is to just leave it an open relationship."
But then I thought of the people who would just use that to make their own harem in a game, so I thought how to challenge that, and came up with what I think is an excellent solution.

@Decimal reminds me of the time some driving game had those like giant roadside billboards, but some of them were pride flags instead of ads
there was an option to disable the flags in the settings menu, but instead of disabling them it converted *all* billboards in the game to pride flags and possibly added even more billboards just to fuck with people who wanted to get rid of them
