You know, now that I live somewhere where the entire atmosphere isn't abuzz with a thousand things putting out spurious RF per lot, maybe I'll go grab a multiband scanner again.
I'd love to eavesdrop on PDX's guard and ATC bands, 2m amateur, local emergency.
It's been years since I've done that and I dunno what a good scanner even is any more. Maybe research time >_>
