This morning my personal twitter account lost the ability to have my timeline show latest tweets rather than 'top tweets' so I assumed twitter was phasing out chronological timeline again.
It appears to be back now though so I guess it was just an error. Sorry for the minsinformation.

@vicorva they've been trying to kill it for years, part of why they killed the third-party client ecosystem (plus their adbux) and why I moved years ago without ever looking back

@elfi I only use it now to keep up with friends I don't have elsewhere and have a profile of events and posts.
I really really do not care for it and if my friends left I would close my account in a heartbeat.

It would seem on-brand for them to remove it or make it a paid twitter only option.
