@shel@snouts.online This whole thread made me realize not how susceptible I am, but how jaded and cautious I am because I always second-guessed myself and kept most people at arms length in any community. Not a fun way to live

@shel@snouts.online I have literally never experienced any sort of feeling of belonging like this, and usually by magnifying my faults or those of others and always keeping a critical eye on them did I drive myself out instead. I rarely last more than a year anywhere.
An exception that proves the rule, ultimately.
