ah also what's a good way to do pixel art lately, i'm not super sure but i think i might wanna do a thing where i sketch up character portraits and then do some like 2x pixel width pixel art stuff on top of them

@maxine @deejvalen @flussence @efi would it be possible to sketch something in clip studio, move it into aseprite, and do a pixel art render from that sketch? or would i have to eyeball them in two separate windows

@Kat @maxine @deejvalen @flussence@nulled.red @efi aseprite has reference layers for this kind of situation, I've discovered. Very handy!

@elfi @maxine @deejvalen @flussence @efi ah rad can i do like a full-res image on a reference layer and just draw in pixels on a layer above it?

@Kat @maxine @deejvalen @flussence@nulled.red @efi I think it still gets somewhat downscaled but not to the pixel layer resolution, but otherwise yeah

@elfi @maxine @deejvalen @flussence @efi ah hell yeah that's perfect, i can sketch character portraits and then like finish them off as clean shiny slightly-animated pixel sprites
