@Zeny PS does it look weird when i'm like scrolling through my menus in vrchat and i'm just pointing at nothing, i always worry about that

@Kat @Zeny I feel like they should have tiny blank holographic windows show up around you where your menus are for maximum cyberspace aesthetic

@Kat @Zeny I wonder how hard that would be to mod into my client... just spawning tiny quads around my model, whee

@elfi @Kat @Zeny I'm decently sure modding the client for any reason is a breach of VRChat ToS

@Liizerd @Kat @Zeny I mean I've been told if I want to be a smol pixie and sit on people's shoulders, I'm gonna be in violation of it anyway, so fuck it let's be cyberpunk

@elfi @Liizerd @Kat The client doesn't need to be modded. You can just bake it into the model as a script via unity

@Kat @Zeny @Liizerd Can I? Huh. I didn't realize that sort of interaction was something so easily baked. Ah well, food for thought, evidently I'll have to read into it more

@elfi @Zeny @Liizerd basically an avatar is just a unity prefab that passes vrchat's checks, so you can do whatever as long as it's bound to an avatar

including stuff that grabs other avatar objects and locks their transform variables into a relative position, i guess

@Kat @elfi @Zeny actually, you can't just do whatever. the VRChat client has to support the unity components that you use. custom scripts aren't allowed on avatars, and since there is no animation for opening the menu to override (using normal methods), the idea of an open menu affecting the avatar model is a bit far fetched at the moment.
