kept looking for news about a local demonstration happening and then it happened the moment I turned my attention to spreading word online

on the plus side, I didn't hear downtown erupt into chaos so at least the cops didn't instigate anything. apparently some white supremacists tried to sneak in but got outed and routed, good riddance
