There's this OC test/fad where you take your character and try to construct an in character mixtape based on their birth year and the top songs for that year I tried doing this for Hot Calc. 93/94 leaves me with basically either grunge or pop... well actually basically grunge or just TLC which isn't really her style.

My OCs are mostly either not on earth's timeline (Viola, Runica, Hinalle, et al) or literally were born before the advent of recorded audio? (Elfi, Temia)

...but she was a shadowrun character and so was born AFTER the present
@elfi depending on your edition there are actually canonical bands and fictional genres they could be into

And while it's reaching across continuities, Priss and the Replicants is more than cyberpunk enough to fit the bill, though they are probably a fair bit too old for Vasilisa where all timelines are equal.
