@tastytea most of the minor discourse is too authoritarian because we're scared of the cops and then it harms those same minors its supposed to protect,,, silly

@tastytea i know for a few people it's also they're scared of teens
but what scenario do you have in mind? it's like disability aid, anything that can help a minor can also help an adult, nothing Happens once you reach the number written on a paper in your country's law book

@ckie@social.pixie.town in a lot of countries, nudes that fulfill certain criteria are pornography and distribution is often regulated harshly. lots of people could get locked up for years, theoretically.
but writing “minors DNI” into a profile description will not change that.
fedipol, german law
@tastytea i dont know german but i found this
https://www.gesetze-bayern.de/Content/Document/JMStV-11
a simple "i am 18+" is not compliant (^F "YouPorn" on https://www.klicksafe.de/pornografie/gesetzliche-bestimmungen)
i suppose fedi could do a better job at this
personal experience as an ex-minor on fedi, fedipol, agreeing with you and extending
@tastytea i think i'd be okay if on an instance with minors they just had "enter your bday" and a "you're not 18 yet, can't see this post, sorry" to avoid that kinda liability
but its not usually about that with the sufficiently relaxed queer i think
but the *magic "dni" button* was very frustrating as a minor like. please tell me more this is just mean. like i wanted to tell someone i liked their erotica and i couldn't and ugh ):
but if we want to transgress this outdated authoritarian convention then we need a better replacement first so it's just kinda It Is What It Is
also fedi just kinda seems to be a war machine like twitter?? this doesnt happen to me in irl groups or cohost
