@kookie @ckie nah, that's not an old thing - I've been teaching kids pottery, and I ended up teaching them to use sketchbooks and notebooks instead of phones and electronic notes because... They work better.

I assumed it was a "used to it" thing, that handwritten notes and sketches were better *for me* because I grew up with them. Turns out, nope, even the kids who have spent their entire lives with electronic data storage at the ready still benefit from using paper for notes and idea tracking.

@naf @kookie ah i was originally referring to the "paying for it" part.

it's nice to see you two like paper! i can't deal with it, it gets everywhere & doesn't go with me unless i remember it or take it all, and there's a lot of wrist force needed to actuate pencils/pens vs. a decent keyboard

part of it is probably also how i grew up, most of my writing is either in a chatroom or in a text editor on a whim
