i think at some point i forgot/unlearned how to learn new things that are mostly orthogonal to my skillset and so i don't have an automatic advantage on. i can learn a new programming language, field of math, whatever with no problem. but something like art or music just completely crashes.

i think there's also option paralysis: i want to learn to draw and to 3d model and to make music
and i know i shouldn't learn all three at once, but i can't decide which to do, so i pick... none

@hierarchon yeah uh, basically same as you - i tried a bit of drawing recently and found a neat video that helped but being a noob at stuff requires a lot of patience. espc if your judging ability on the quality of your work is ahead of the work
after hn your time war post got us to write again and it's been fun so far though, so thanks :D

@hierarchon also requiring my body to have existed for at least 6574.5 is very arbitrary and i probably would've said hi and wanted to talk about time war or something before if that wasn't there :p
