well, that's just another way of saying you're doing it as a form of self-expression and people literally need that (thx maslow)

just because you don't have an obvious objective in that thing you're doing for attention doesn't mean it isn't fundamentally an expression of a need

the difficulty comes when trying to express yourself in constructive and honest ways
