Music, mh~ ?
As more time goes on, it becomes increasingly clear to me that music is *very* important to me. It's pretty much the only medium that can bring me closest to crying semi-reliably, and I really REALLY enjoy the songs that grab me.
But I don't have anyone to talk about music with!
And maybe I don't have the language to talk about music? I thought about making a post about a song and why I like it but... came up blank!
Music, mh~ ?
@Decimal Exactly the same! Music is ridiculously important to us, but we don't know how to talk about it!

@SophicLeech It's a real confounding problem!
This thing, it makes me really happy, and I want to share it!
But I can't initiate a conversation about it, other than posting it and going "I liked this!"
To which the typical response is either a happy but disinterested "Nice!" or "Wow, this is really good! Thanks for sharing!"
Weeeeeeh.
Music, mh~ ?
@Decimal Yeah! I wanna talk endlessly about themes that emit feeling, especially Video game music! And I wanna hear the themes that move my friends! And their opinions on both the musics!
But I'm also just as bad at initiating conversation (and properly communicating my points in general, for that matter, even rewriting this very paragraph a few times!) that I don't usually manage a conversation!

@Decimal The most egregious example for us is probably the song "Growing Wings (English Ver.)" / "Exaustion B (Japanese Ver.)" From Drakengard series
It's traditionally the song used for the worst endings in the series, designed to be as unsettling as possible.
Except it's therapeutic to us and helps us calm and reset our thoughts! Subjectiveness is soo weird!

@SophicLeech I definitely understand that, knowing the artists intent of a song, but finding it inspires something COMPLETELY different in you
Music, mh~ ?
@SophicLeech And because music is so personal, it can't just be a universal understanding!
This song makes me think of forests, or nature!
But for a friend, the song makes them think of a cityscape!
ART!!! Being so goddamn subjective!!! >~<
