@skrlet13 it is very uncommon for it to be completely absent, but the reasons behind it and the intensity of it are embellished for movies and TV. I went to two schools on opposite ends of that spectrum growing up. One where the absence of bullying at any given moment was unusual, and one where it was completely absent. In media it often happens for no real reason, or because of "drama", but in reality it is most often kids who are mimicking the biases and bigotries of their parents.
