“LTSC wasn’t meant for consumer hardware” ok well windows wasn’t meant to run on computers. What’s ur point

I've been bedridden for the last 10 months for medical reasons, and I'm still about 1000$ behind on being able to pay for my car and storage. I'm sorry to keep asking, but if you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.

During my dream last night I came up with a horrible antifeature for Windows, now that they're so all-in on AI:
when you try to uninstall a program, generate a short story for the user which personalizes the target application as being separated from all its friends, and being very sad about it

@foone Windows update applying screen, but you can turn on an "advanced ai mode (FOR DEVELOPERS)" and then instead of saying nothings like "We're getting everything ready for you" an LLM attempts to spew out an English summary of the system log in real time.

I'm really close to the hedge 🐿️⚠️

Why is no one talking about India and the shift towards an apartheit regime towards Muslims?
We're seeing this shift in almost every country with a Muslim minority. The utilization of public order or anti terrorism law in order to target Muslim voices, even when there are freedom or religious expression laws in place.

are the Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Inflatable Tube Men just scarecrows for ICE agents?

@MonKaiju so long as it isn't masked with packing tape or something slippery you can get away with a paint pen. Saves the effort of actually scraping/peeling.

Fun writing challenge: write leftist theory without using the words "revisionism", "critique", "bourgeoisie", and "towards"

@schratze towards a critique of bourgeois revisionist titling in leftist literature

You can report AI generated slop web results in duckduckgo under the triple-dots "caterpillar menu". This improves the spam reduction capability of noai.duckduckgo.com/ and other searches with an AI-generated content filter enabled. So at least no other human has to see that nonsense again.

Are there any good firefox forks that disable the ai stuff right out of the box?

I know librewolf does it but just wondering if there are others.
